Exclusive use weddings

We offer exclusive use weddings from intimate elopements to private celebrations of 70 day guests and 110 evenings guests (dogs are also welcome!).

Our 17th century wedding barn is just steps away from the farmhouse. This charming building is yours to make your own around the exposed stone walls, feature wooden wall and delightful chandeliers. We also offer outdoor ceremonies in our beautiful gardens or for a more elaborate celebration you may prefer a marquee in the fields.

Going for a church wedding? Our venue is close to a selection of beautiful churches including the All Saints Church which is just 2.4 miles from us.

Our weddings include:
  • Exclusive use of the full venue and grounds including the house, main barn, bar/lounge, outside cooking area and gardens
  • 2 night stay at the estate for up to 10 people
  • Limited parking for house guests only. Guests must arrive and depart via travel services
  • Use of a ceremony space of your choice
  • Alfresco cooking space including BBQ ‘s, fire place and outdoor dining area
  • Catering space for your selected outsourced catering supplier to use with stairs leading to the main barn for serving. Washing up must be done off site
  • Speaker with Bluetooth and microphones
  • Beautiful gardens
  • Ladies and gents toilets
  • Stocked and staffed bar until 11.30pm
  • Additional space to hire for camping and marquee hire
  • Farleton Knott Fell and a beautiful stream just a few steps away, perfect for photos

Frequently asked questions

Our maximum day time dining capacity is 70 guests and a maximum evening gathering size of 110.

Parking is limited to house guests and suppliers. Guests must arrive and depart via mini bus.

Yes, we have shepherds huts and an option for camping. There is also a selection of hotel accommodation close by please see more here

Yes we are! We would love for you to bring your four-legged friend along! There will be a small cleaning fee added on to your invoice.

Our main barn has a flagged area tucked to the side with steps providing service access to the barn. This area is perfect for your mobile catering service to set up.

Our alfresco cooking area next to our bar and lounge is ideal for more casual cateing such as bbq’s and pizzas. This is a sheltered area with fitted bbqs, water, electric and lighting located next to the bar and lounge area.

We have the most amazing group of wedding suppliers we work with to help make your wedding dreams come true however we do not have any limit on which suppliers you use. Get in touch for our supplier list.

Email us at info@knottestate.co.uk to book! We can hold your date for seven days while you contact your church, celebrant or the council (local registrar) to arrange your ceremony date and time. You may also want to check the availability of any must have suppliers that you love, such as catering or photography.

All booked?! Once you are ready you can secure your date with a deposit and then together we can get planning! We have a local network of amazing suppliers we work with put your perfect day together. We will pencil in a further two meetings before the big day to ensure everything is in place for you.
